My first win happened within hours
After my very first class, 6 hours later, I closed my very first fee planning case with a client and thought WOW this works.
Surpassing goals
I set out goals to close one fee paying client a quarter. After the first quarter, that turned to one fee paying client a month. Now that looks childish. I’m on pace to close 15 fee paying clients by the end of the year. To me I didn’t think I would be in that position, but here I am.
My clients are renewing
My first fee paying client came up for renewal. When I used the Mindshift renewal approach, she validated the value of our relationship. Specifically, she said, “it is one of the best things I have ever done … you have gone over and beyond for me multiple times … have done more for me than other advisors I have worked with in the past … I am absolutely going to keep this going … you’ve been great… I loved the experience.”
This was a pretty big win and it turned into additional business. She asked me to manage her money, which she did not do last year.
She now has the trust in me to allow me to manage her money as well.
Qualitatively, my anxiety has dropped. Mindshift has shot up my confidence. I come with a little bit of swagger to my meetings. I
genuinely feel people like me and like working with me. This mindset has alleviated a lot of issues that I had mentally in the business.
